Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and promoting our comprehensive procurement and payment facilitation services. The company is a leading provider of global procurement and payment facilitation solutions. They specialize in streamlining international purchasing and simplifying payment processes for businesses Vand individuals. Their mission is to empower entities to access global markets through reliable and efficient procurement and payment solutions. The client is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and is dedicated to helping Nigerian businesses navigate the complexities of international trade. They offer a comprehensive range of services designed to facilitate seamless procurement and payment processes, ensuring that their clients can operate efficiently and competitively in the global market.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in global procurement.
Create and deliver compelling presentations on our services to prospective clients.
Collaborate with the procurement team to understand client needs and tailor solutions.
Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients. Develop strategies to increase market share and improve the company's competitive position.
Monitor and report on sales activities, opportunities, and market trends.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Work closely with other departments to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business development, preferably in procurement or international trade.
Strong understanding of global procurement processes and payment solutions.
Must have a client base of corporate organizations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events.
