Job Summary:

The client is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and is dedicated to helping Nigerian businesses navigate the complexities of international trade. They offer a comprehensive range of services designed to facilitate seamless procurement and payment processes, ensuring that their clients can operate efficiently and competitively in the global market.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in global procurement.

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations on our services to prospective clients.

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to understand client needs and tailor solutions.

  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients. Develop strategies to increase market share and improve the company's competitive position.

  • Monitor and report on sales activities, opportunities, and market trends.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, preferably in procurement or international trade.

  • Strong understanding of global procurement processes and payment solutions.

  • Must have a client base of corporate organizations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events.

  • Required Skills Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong analytical and research skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse international clients.

  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and client needs.
